Big thanks to talented filmmaker Pascale Neuschäfer for shooting and editing the new ABC for Life video.

Dear ABC for Life Supporters,

There are some exciting new developments afoot at ABC for Life. First off, our new volunteer reading programme that started last July is growing and will be partnering with a well-known literacy programme next year to develop it even further. This means that we will be reaching more learners than ever before. More info on this partnership next month. Email dianaseccombe@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer.

ABC for Life was represented at a Hangberg Community meeting last Thursday the 1st of November. ABC for Life, along with Hangberg Educational Trust, about 30 parents, creche principals, Sentinel School teachers and other community members, together set a vision for Hangberg: By 2020, every child in Hangberg should be enabled to read at grade level by the end of grade 3. We are inspired by this challenging goal and look forward to working collaboratively with the community to reach it. Thanks to Marquerithe Schreuder for her efforts in organizing this collaboration.

Lastly, don’t forget about the ABC for Life Appreciation Evening happening at Chapman’s Peak Hotel, Thursday 15 November at 18:00 for 18:30. This will be a time to meet everyone involved at ABC as well as meet a few of our learners who will be honored with awards. RSVP by emailing fundingabc@gmail.com.]

Lastly, Big thanks to talented filmmaker Pascale Neuschäfer for shooting and editing the new ABC for Life video. Get a close-up of ABC for Life at Sentinel School: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcbxdeibzxQ.

With gratitude,
